SPOT 03

SPOT Local SEO

Built for how people search now, not how they searched fifteen years ago.

Your customers do not open a browser and type three keywords anymore. They ask their phone out loud in the driveway. They ask ChatGPT to compare three local companies and tell them who to call. They tap the first thing in the map pack. Optimizing for 2009 blue links misses most of how the decision actually gets made in 2026. This is search work built for how it works now.

WHY THIS MATTERS

Agencies are still optimizing for a search engine that stopped existing .

Most SEO retainers still buy you the same thing they bought in 2012. A blog post a month stuffed with the phrase you want to rank for, a few directory links, and a report full of charts that go up and to the right while your phone does not ring any more than it did before.

Meanwhile the actual search results changed underneath everybody. The map pack takes the local clicks. AI overviews answer the question before anybody scrolls. Voice search returns exactly one answer, not ten blue links. And a growing number of your customers now ask an AI to shortlist local businesses and then call whoever it named.

Getting named in those places is a different job than ranking a blog post. It runs on clear entity information, structured data, real reviews, and content that answers the actual question instead of dancing around a keyword.

If an AI cannot tell what you do and where you do it, it will name somebody who can.

HOW IT WORKS

Get named , not just ranked.

01

Fix the entity before chasing keywords

Name, address, phone, hours, categories, and services have to match everywhere they appear. Your site, your profile, your directory listings. Mismatched information is the single most common reason a business that should rank does not, and it is invisible until somebody actually checks.

02

Structured data that tells the truth

Schema markup so search engines and AI models can parse exactly what you do, where you work, who runs the business, and what people say about you. Done properly, and only for things that are actually true on the page. Fake schema gets you penalized, not promoted.

03

Pages that answer the real question

Content built around what customers actually ask before hiring, in the words they actually use. What does this cost. How long does it take. What goes wrong. Are you licensed. These are the questions that get surfaced in AI answers, because they are the questions people ask.

04

Location and service depth

A real page for each service and each market you genuinely serve, with content specific enough that it could not be copy-pasted to another city. Thin, templated city pages are worse than no city pages at all.

05

Measured against calls, not rankings

Rankings are a proxy. Calls, form fills, and booked jobs are the point. If a page ranks and nothing happens, the page is wrong and we fix it instead of putting it in a report and calling it a win.

SEO QUESTIONS

Search questions, answered .

Stuff buyers ask before they book.

How long does local SEO take to work?
Profile and entity fixes can move things in 2 to 4 weeks. Real organic movement takes 3 to 6 months. Anybody promising page one in 30 days is either lying or planning to rank you for something nobody searches for. I would rather tell you the honest timeline up front than explain it in month two.
Can you guarantee a number one ranking?
No, and neither can anybody else. Google does not sell placement in organic results and nobody controls the algorithm. What I can commit to is the work that moves the inputs, and to showing you the numbers honestly whether they moved or not.
Do I really need to worry about AI search?
You need to be findable and parseable, which is mostly the same work that makes you rank normally. Clean entity data, real structured data, real reviews, and content that answers real questions. You do not need a separate AI strategy. You need the fundamentals done properly, which most businesses skip.
Is blogging still worth it?
Only if the posts answer questions your customers actually ask. A post that exists to hit a keyword is a waste of money in 2026. A post that genuinely answers what somebody wants to know before hiring can rank, get cited by an AI answer, and get sent by you directly to a customer who asked.
What if I am in a competitive city?
Then proximity and prominence matter more and it takes longer. In a dense metro you win by being more specific than the competition, not louder. Narrower service pages, deeper local content, faster review velocity. The generalist gets beaten by the specialist in a crowded market every time.
